There are multiple signals that job postings and recruiting in general are broken. Let's count:
- Did it ever happen to you, that you saw poorly written Job Description? Or better ask did you ever saw job description that doesn't suck?
- Do you know how recruiters are writing job descriptions today? They use ChatGPT to use 40 years of poor Job Description writing to generate another Bad Job Description, but faster!
- Do you know that economically, recruiters are incentivised to make interview process longer, in the name of self-preservation. This means we can't blame recruiters, we should fix the game.
- Did you ever dance "Salary Negotiation Tango?" It's when everyone knows that they shouldn't state the amount first, but you can't say that directly, therefore both sides use "I need to do more research" BS. Lovely, right?
